Mrs. Bishop
Teacher, Computer Science
Tuscarora High School
Hello and welcome! I am excited to be teaching Tuscarora Titans again this year.
My husband and I have lived in Frederick since 1993.
We have two daughters, both of whom have graduated from Frederick County Public Schools.
I started my career with a B.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. I worked in the IT field for 12 years, as a programmer and then as a computer systems analyst, and earned an M.S. in Technical Management from the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
While home with my daughters, I started volunteering at their school and then became a substitute teacher as a way of returning to the workforce while being flexible for them. Realizing that I enjoyed working with students, I decided to get a second masters, in teaching, and the rest is history!
I enjoy camping with my family and our friends, golfing, listening to music / going to concerts, and learning more about programming and web development. Most of all, I enjoy my students, their excitement for Computer Science, and the awesome creativity they show!
